We have a dry ice machine that we use on certain jobs. After removing the insulation, we put it into rubbish bags, which we seal when full.
Depending on the material and safest removal method, it may then be necessary to clean down timbers via sanding. We also use a vacuum cleaner to remove remaining dust from between the joists. We never dry sweep because this will cause dust and fibres to become airborne.
